Veana Negasi, born 6th April 1995,is a multi-dimensional singer/songwriter of Africa descent, who’s first introduction to music like many was through the church choir. Her music can be categorized as Afropop, Contemporary Dancehall or Soul, predominantly.
Veana Negasi represents a new breed of cross-cultural, versatile singers with the aim of cutting across the barriers of language, race and religion to create music with a message. Her major influences are Jhene Aiko, Khelani, Alicia Keys, Emeli Sande, Alessia Cara, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Adele, Whitney Houston and Brenda Fassie, Tuface Idibia. She draws inspiration from Efya, Kojo Antwi, Amandzeba and Akwaboah in the Ghanaian music industry.
Her debut single, “Why don’t you love me” is a contemporary Dancehall song and was released June 2nd, 2017.
